Dr. Daphna Liber, a veteran expressive arts therapist, organizational consultant, psychotherapist and director of the B.A. Program in Behavioral Sciences at Ono Academic College has recently released a book entitled, “How Do You Text Longing?: Moments of Humanity from the Digital Clinic”.

Liber was interviewed (together with Israel’s “SuperNanny,” Michal Daliyot) on Israel TV’s Channel 13 “Starting the Day” Program. She noted that today’s children have grown up in a digital environment with mother-tongue digital fluency while her generation with “always speak digital with an accent”. This reality has raised some new dangers, for instance, privacy dangers. Daliyot noted in her conversation with Liber the rise of a phenomenon in which children take selfies at their therapy session. On the other hand, Liber noted that in a positive way, the digital age opens up many topics that need to be discussed and haven’t been such as post-trauma and “me-too”.
