Pioneering Ono Research on the Work of Community Education Coordinators Following the COVID Epidemic

The following short film highlights a new study focusing on Community Education Coordinators who work on transmitting social and community values. The work, conducted by a team comprising Dr. Miri Goldert, Dr. Esmahan Masri-Harzallah, Dr. Yamit Alfasi and Dr. Yaron Sela took place as part of a grant that Ono Academic College received from Israel’s Office of the Chief Scientist at the Ministry of Education. The project called for the development of capacities of educational teams following the Corona virus.

In the animated video, the viewer is invited to recognize opportunities to grow even frp, a crisis. Based on the well-known theory of post-traumatic growth, the research team developed an index according to which three components helped the social education team see Corona as an opportunity.  These components are:

  1. Teamwork and collaboration.
  2. A change in priorities that results in the positioning and expansion of social education activities.
  3. Continued training and professional development even during the emergency.
