Hanan Jafali, Education and Social Studies Graduate
Ono Academic College’s B.A. Program in Education and Social Studies provides its students with the tools and experiences to succeed in a wider variety of vocational environments. The department’s newly released clip profiles several of the program’s outstanding graduates including:
Alon Avitan, works in the non-profit organization “Ziv Neurim” that assists at-risk children through maritime activities that integrate educational values.
Hanan Jafali, single mother and classroom and informal educator who teaches in grade school and in community centers in Sapir, providing the students for tools of empowerment, self-acceptance, accepting the other and belonging.
Ilanit Shata, 29, informal educator at the Kivunim Bashechuna (“Directions in the Neighborhood) program with clients aged 18-40, assisting them in navigating all areas of their life.
Director of the degree, Dr. Rachel Hillel Avraham, describes how the program studies social and communal processes and creates a platform for social change.
