Ono Graduate Explains the Needs of Passengers on the Autistic Spectrum to Lufthansa

Josh Aronson, a graduate of Ono Academic College, is a social activist and a prizewinning journalist with the Maariv newspaper. He is also on the autistic spectrum. Aronson was invited to speak with executives of the Lufthansa airline in London about the needs of passengers on the autistic spectrum.

In their conversation, Aronson noted some of the difficulties faced by passengers with disabilities. In response, Lufthansa executive Frank Wagner told him that the firm intends to improve service for all such passengers.

Aronson said, “In the meeting with Lufthansa representatives, we came to many understandings on the subject of accessibility and equality. . .I have all the hope and prayer that every person on the autistic spectrum will be able to fly equally like every other passenger, without feeling discomfort.”
