Today, our “Focus on the Faculty” section explores the careers of three faculty members at Ono Academic College’s School of Music: – Dr. Doron Kima, Uri Zach and Yuval Segal

We are proud to showcase our faculty, who have been voted the best in Israel for the past 6 years running and we thought it was about time to let you have a closer look at the fascinating instructors who choose to teach here.

Dr. Doron Kima

Dr. Doron Kima is the Academic Director, Coordinator of Musical Projects and Lecturer in the fields of Harmony, Arrangements and Piano at Ono Academic College’s School of Music.

Kima has a doctorate from the University of Florida in the field of classical composition. In his musical works, Kima explores the aesthetic principles of classical Arabic music. He leads the “Prelude to Peace” project, an album and performance, in collaboration with Jewish, Muslim and Christian musicians.

Uri Zach

Uri Zach is the Director of Song Production and Composition and the Ensemble Coordinator at Ono Academic College’s School of Music.

Zach is a musician, instrumentalist, arranger and producer who has created numerous successful albums and songs (for artists such as Miri Mesika, Aya Korem, Danny Robas, Roni Dalumi). He is an accomplished musical producer and arranger for television, theater and cinema.

Yuval Segal

Yuval Segal is the Technical Team Manager and a Lecturer in the field Sound Production  at Ono Academic College’s School of Music.

Segal is a graduate of the Berklee College Of Music in Boston and has worked as one of the leading recording and sound technicians in Israel for many years. He has recorded many albums and songs, which have left a mark on Israeli music history (including works by Yoni Rechter, Shem Tov Levy, Uzi Hitman and others).
