Dr. Carmella Igell

About

Dr. Carmella Igell is the head of the master’s degree program and a senior lecturer in the special education program at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. She specializes in decision-making, teamwork, and collaboration with parents.

With 11 years of lecturing experience, she has taught at various institutions including the Center for Academic Studies, Levinsky, the Kibbutzim, and Washington. Notably, she spent approximately 6 years as a lecturer at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Dr. Igell brings hands-on expertise from her tenure at the Ministry of Education, where she served as a national inspector in the Special Education Division. She played pivotal roles in executing the Special Education Law, providing individualized care, and shaping policy. Furthermore, she has practical experience in special education instruction and mentorship within the education system.
