The program is characterized by "applied academics." The lecturers in the specialization come from the core of public policy and business worlds and as such have extensive theoretical knowledge and extensive practical experience.

Introduction

Managers who wish to operate effectively in today’s complex environment are required to delve deeper not only in the field of public policy as it pertains specifically to their field, but also to understand the social-political-psychological dynamics within which policy is made. Therefore, they must also get to know the variety of stakeholders who are critical to policy-making work, such as government ministries, local authorities, public authorities and corporations, third sector organizations, businesses, various communities, and more.

In light of this, Ono is proud to present the specialization in administration and public policy, which is part of the Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Ono Academic College. In this specialization, we train and guide master’s degree students who hail from all sectors, to deal intelligently with one of the most significant challenges in the 21st century: setting public policy in a complex environment full of uncertainty.

Dr. Yariv Sagi Specialization Director
Successfully answering the challenge of public management develops the capabilities of the economy in the country as a whole. This method management we teach combines traditional management and policy making traditions alongside the integration of new management methods. Some of these methods were developed in the business sector, and some developed in the public sector as a result of the need to emphasize the public value of management alongside the creation of economic added value. This specialization provides Ono Academic College with a unique solution allowing professionals in the public sector to upgrade their business management skills alongside the development of public management skills in accordance with the leading standards in the world today. This program will also managers in the business sector seeking to improve the toolbox for functioning in the governmental environment.
