Program Highlights

The lecturers in the specialization are professionals and the leaders in their field, with experience and public recognition. The content they will convey combines theoretical knowledge with their personal experiences in the field. Over the course of the specialization, the participants will visit crisis management centers, at the municipal and national level, and will be hear from guest lecturers in the fields of security, economy, advocacy, health and education in Israel.
The timing of the outbreak of the next crisis or disruption is a matter of "when" not "if". The specialization will give you a better starting position in dealing with the new employment world - a world of frequent challenges and changes.
Students will get to know the important theorists who greatly influenced the development of the field. One of the most famous of them is Gareth Morgan, who wrote: "Organizations are complex and paradoxical phenomena that can be understood in many different ways. Many of our taken-for-granted ideas about organizations are metaphorical, even though we may not recognize them as such." Another well-known theorist is Kurt Lewin, who stated: "If you want truly to understand something, try to change it." Students will learn about all these ideas and more from Israel's best lecturers.

Overview

This program represents the first and only specialization in Israel that is part of an MBA degree, which enables the acquisition of new and advanced management skills in the field of resilience building and conflict management. The specialization provides tools to deal with the current realities, which are characterized by a growing need to manage risks and crises, alongside building personal, community, organizational and national resilience. The specialization gives its participants a holistic view of the world of resilience building and crisis management, and teaches innovative management approaches. Its participants will acquire academic and practical abilities that will enable them to analyze threats and risks methodically, and build a systematic plan for building resilience in normal times as well as tools for management in times of crisis and emergency.

Managerial ability that enables building resilience for the organization and successfully dealing with disruption or crisis has become a requirement for managers in every organization, company, government office, local authority, association or institution. Our new and unstable reality includes many emergencies, including civil and security emergencies, financial disruptions, operational malfunctions, cyber attacks, disruption of supply chains, social conflicts and deep social rifts. All of these increase the risks to the organization’s reputation and stability. The specialization is intended for mid-level managers who would like to be promoted to senior managers in the future; For managers in key positions, who affect the conduct of the company, the organization, the office and the authority – in routine and emergency situations; and to the risk managers in the various companies and organizations.
