Professor Noomi Katz, Director of the Research Institute for Health and Medical Professions participated in an international symposium for research in occupational therapy at the Psychiatric Institute in Sao Paulo, Brazil from August 10 – 11, 2012. During the conference, Professor Katz gave the keynote lecture and five additional lectures on various topics in the field of cognition and occupational therapy. The keynote lecture dealt with: cognitive rehabilitation, execution functions and participation.

Professor Katz held a workshop on 9 August 2012 on teaching diagnostic kits developed in DLOTCA DLOTCA-G versions of new dynamic diagnoses translated and studied in Brazil in cooperation with Professor Katz

Professor Katz worked with a group of occupational therapists from the Psychiatric Institute to plan their MA or PhD thesis research studies. Topics, some of which stem from work done in Israel will continue in Brazil, include adaptation and validation of the various diagnostic tools, efficiency OGI intervention study of mental health patients, cooperation and intercultural studies

Professor Katz was invited to visit the advanced Neurological Rehabilitation Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina FLENI and give a lecture to multidisciplinary staff from the center of our studies on virtual reality in populations with neurological problems.
