Retired Police Deputy Commissioner Says the Force is in “Deep Crisis”

Retired Police Superintendent Alon Lev Avi, who served Deputy Commissioner, Head of Operations, and currently is a lecturer at Ono Academic College was recently interviewed on the Non Stop Radio network’s “Five” news program. Lev Avi currently serves as director of the “Resiliency Building” specialization at Ono.
During the interview, Lev Avi discussed the dismal state of the police force which has led to thousands of police officers resigning due to dismal wages and drastic shortening of training time given to new officers due to a manpower shortage. Lev Avi was happy that the issue was being discussed in the media but noted that the police are currently in “deep crisis.”
