The library staff of Ono Academic College’s Netanya campus is proud to launch the virtual art exhibition “Being Alone.” The exhibition deals with the subject of loneliness in its various aspects through works of art.

The initiative, execution and leadership of the project has been managed by the librarian Ilana Eitan, who oversees the exhibitions in the library, with the support and assistance of the library staff

The idea for the exhibition took shape after the Corona epidemic forced the country to enter its first lockdown.  We all were forced to confront the issue of loneliness, in its many aspects and layers, both personally and professionally.  It is symbolic, therefore, that the exhibition opens at the beginning of what we hope will be the last closure.

After a long period of collecting the materials for the exhibition, organizing them and designing them into a unified style, we realized that during this period the space in which the exhibition will be displayed must be digital. This is a new but fascinating challenge that has opened up new content options in an exhibition that now includes a wealth of information, links and videos.

The exhibition is available for viewing on the library website or at this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FdAHGc0oPxO0elMW32qgO7LXJSBJwaig/view
