The Beit Midrash for the Study of Ethiopian Jewish Religious Texts at Ono Academic College met in November in the offices of Ono’s International Center for the Study of Ethiopian Jewry. The event began with introductions when all the participants introduced themselves and shared why they wanted to join the program. Afterwards, the program organizers shared their vison of how the program will unfold. After the break, Rabbi Reuven Yaso gave a presentation outlining the Bete Israel bookshelf, and summarized some of the most important books in the holy canon of Ethiopian Jewish literature.
