Ono’s Community Theater Course for Students with Disabilities Gives Capstone Performance

Ono Academic College, together with the Gvanim )Diversities) non-profit organization and Israel’s Ministry of Welfare and Social Security, invites you to course capstone performance of the course “Integrated Community Theater” being studied by members of the “Gvanim Youth” program and students in the School of Education focusing on disabilities, accessibility and inclusion.
The Gvanim )Diversities) non-profit organization was founded in 1987 by members of the urban kibbutz in Sderot in Israel’s South, to offer a broad range of opportunities for people with a variety of disabilities. Today it provides over 30 programs nationwide to more than 1,500 people with disabilities of all kinds, including an exclusive specialization for young people between the ages of 18 and 35. The goal of Gvanim is to help people with disabilities develop skills for independent life and full self-realization, and to enable them to experience and live a vibrant and full life through the perception of being “EQUAL, because we are all different, equal and partners.”
The performance will take place on Wednesday, June 6, 2022 at Ono Academic College’s Dganit Auditorium. A reception will begin at 18:30 and the performance gets underway at 19:00. Afterwards, and open discussion will take place between the audience, the creators and the participants. Admission is free but limited.
