Ono Scholar and Student Testify Before Knesset Regarding Israel’s Privacy Protection Act

Lawyer Eldad Ben Giora and Law Student Noa Matatov from Ono Academic College’s Clinic Combating the Silencing of Legal Claims, in collaboration with the Movement for Digital Rights, participated in the debate at Israel’s Knesset regarding Amendment 14 to the Privacy Protection Act.

The discussion focused on the definitions of the law, and lawyer Ben Giora claimed that the proposed definition of “database” is balanced in general. and enables proper supervision by the Authority for the Protection of Privacy. He further argued that the law can be shaped according to the changes and technological developments related to the processing of the information in the database.
