Ono Marks Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day

Today, April 23, on the eve of Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day, we will host a meeting of “Remembrance in the Living Room” at the Ono Campus, in collaboration with Ono’s Student Union, and a project that works to commemorate the memory of the Holocaust and the stories of Holocaust survivors and their families.

As part of the ceremony, Ono will host Rachel Sivan, a Holocaust survivor, who will talk about her childhood in Bulgaria.

The ceremony, in the presence of Kiryat Ono Mayor Michal Ronshine and hosted by Dean of Students, Shelly Levin-Magber, will take place at 6:00 PM in the Shulich Auditorium on the ground floor of the Kiryat Ono Campus.

Tomorrow, on April 24, we will mark Holocaust Remembrance Day on the various campuses:

  • Kiryat Ono Campus – We will light memorial candles in the entrance plaza immediately after the siren, at 10:05 AM, and at 12:30 PM, screen the film “The Ring” in the Shulich auditorium.
  • Haifa Campus – At 11:30 a.m., there will be a screening of the film “The Ring” in room 411.
