Ono Hosts Scientific Conference “Physical activity and dementia at a young age – is there a connection?”

Ono Academic College and the Tzipora Fried Center of the Ezer Mitzion organization held a conference entitled “Physical activity and dementia at a young age – is there a connection?” in Ono’s Shulich Auditorium.  The conference brought professionals and family caregivers together to explore the vital question of whether physical activity can benefit younger people living with dementia. Through expert lectures, participants gained insights into the unique characteristics of early-onset dementia (Dr. Noa Bergman), the neurophysiological effects of exercise (Dr. Roy Tzemach-Shachar), and practical clinical guidelines drawn from the Chevruta Club’s experience (Kama Lixenberg and Benny Kellner). The program concluded with strategies for building active daily routines, highlighted by Ono’s Dr. Yael Zilbershlag, leaving attendees with both scientific knowledge and practical tools to support affected individuals and their families.
