Ono Ethiopian Scholar Speaks at 9 Av Program

Rabbi Dr. Sharon Shalom, Director of the International Center for the Study of Ethiopian Jewry at Ono Academic College, was a featured speaker at the TED-style “9 Speak in 9” Tisha B’Av event hosted by the Yoav Regional Council. In his talk, Rabbi Shalom reflected on the meaning of divine absence through the lens of Ethiopian Jewish theology, exploring how the Beta Israel tradition confronts the silence of God in times of crisis.
