Dr. Orit Shenkar, an Occupational Therapist and Ergonomic Consultant at the School of Health Professions of Ono Academic College has some advice for parents and children returning to school. Don’t weigh down the kids!  Choose a backpack appropriate for the size of the child. Make sure the backpack doesn’t rise above shoulder level and doesn’t fall too low either. Choose a backpack with a padded but hard back, wide padded adjustable shoulder straps and internal divisions for separating books, food and other things.

The full collection of back to school advice was published in an info graphic in the Yediot Ahronot newspaper.
