Judge Khaled Kabub of the Tel Aviv-Yafo District Court, Economic Division, lectured at a meeting of the OAC Alumni Association on “Guidelines for Acceptable Behavior of Litigators in Court.” The lecture focused on the relationship between an attorney as an “officer of the court” and the court. This relationship reflects the dual nature of the attorney’s role: the obligation to be a faithful representative of his or client (including issues related to authorization to cease representing a client), and the obligation to act with good faith towards the court. The duty of good faith includes, inter alia, the prohibition to mislead the court and the obligation to act respectfully toward it. These obligations are anchored in both the Bar Association Law 5721-1961 and the Bar Association Regulations (Professional Ethics) 5746-1986.

This lecture was part of the professional development opportunities available to alumni of OAC each month. The Alumni Association holds additional activities to support alumni in their careers: meetings with senior officials, workshops, and networking, in addition to social activities.
