Upcoming Ono Conference: “The Hostages: A Question of Cost?”

Ono Academic College, together with a special committee of the organization “The Friends of Ron Arad” is sponsoring the conference “The Hostages: A Question of Cost?” which will take place on November 29, 2023, in the main auditorium of the Ono’s new campus at Savyon Junction.

The conference will focus on the security, social and psychological costs that Hamas’ hostage-taking has caused the kidnapped, their families and the country.  It also investigates the efforts to gain the hostages’ release.

 

The Conference will address questions like:

  • How many hostages is a terrorist with blood on his hands worth?
  • What is the price of a 3-year-old captive child?
  • Will these hostages also perish like Ron Arad?

 

The Conference will be moderated by Liat Regev, Presenter of the Radio Program “At the Middle of the Sixth Day,” on Israel’ Radio’s Kan Reshet Bet Network.

The conference will also feature other Israeli philosophers. academics and representatives of the hostages’ families.
