Ono Academic College will hold a conference to commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 10:15 AM in the Shulich Auditorium on the first floor of its Kiryat Ono Campus.
The conference, titled, “A beacon for growth: Antisemitism – Then and Now”, is in memory of late Holocaust survivor Meir Grant.
The conference program features:
- Words of welcome: Prof. Shlomo Noy, President of the Ono Academic College
- Recorded greeting by the President of Israel, Yitzhak (Buji) Herzog
- Rabbi Israel Meir Lau, Chairman of Yad Vashem, former Chief Rabbi of Israel
- Opening Address: Avram Grant, former coach of the Israel National Soccer Team and son of the late Holocaust survivor Meir Grant.
Other sessions include:
- Special interview by Israeli Ambassador to Germany, Ron Prosor, with Kai Hess, grandson of the mass murderer, Rudolf Hess, Commandant of the Auschwitz Camp
- Omri Miren, Survivor of Hamas Captivity
- Daniel Lorcher, Vice President of the Dortmund Football Team, who fights against antisemitism
Artistic Program
- Agam Berger, Musician, and Survivor of Hamas Captivity
- Shuli Rand, Musician and creator
Closing remarks: Tsofit Grant, Actress and creator
