In honor of International Occupational Therapy Day, alumni of the Occupational Therapy Department at Ono Academic College set-up a training booth at Kiryat Ono Mall Booth on October 27, 2013.
Naamah Katz from Department of Occupational Therapy and Avivit Yonatan, a graduate of the first class of OT program, initiated the booth. They offered the public training in various subjects related to occupational therapy: setting up a workspace with a laptop; the proper, healthy way to carry a school bag; using assistive devices for people with disabilities; and hand exercises to improve children’s writing. The booth aroused great interest from passers-by, young and old, who joined the various activities and were guided by graduates and students from the department.
