Dr. Dana Pugach, director of Noga Center for Crime Victims at Ono Academic College, wrote an opinion column for Ha’aretz following the rapid decision made by the police to open a case against Emmanuel Rosen, even before the formal complaints were filed against him, as opposed to the foot-dragging that characterizes handling the cases of other victims. “It’s shame that it [the Israeli police] mainly respond this way in cases that attract public attention as Rosen affair or that of Moshe Katsav. Then, victims receive respectful treatment from the agencies who act quickly and efficiently. Normally, the victims are expected to go through the suffering of years before achieve justice, and it is often considered too little and too late.”
