In a strongly worded opinion published on the Mako website Dr. Amir Paz-Fuchs and Dr. Guy Ben-Porat responded the removal of Dr. Gilad Natan from his position in the research department of the Knesset and the summoning of Ram Cohen, principal of a Tel Aviv high school to a hearing. Last week, Dr. Natan was dismissed because of articles he published in a newspaper three years ago. Cohen was summoned to a hearing after he published a political article in the newspaper Ha’aretz. In their article, Paz-Fuchs and Ben-Porat protest about the terrible harm being done to the freedom of speech and complain about selective enforcement.
