Our graduates are hired to fill senior financial positions in places such as: investment companies, capital and financial management, the Ministry of Finance, the banking system, consulting companies and more.
The program is characterized by Ono’s signature “Applied Academics”. Students participats internships designed to provide knowledge in the field of financial management and the capital market, with an emphasis on combining theoretical background with practical tools that allow the theory to be applied.

Overview

Introduction

In recent years, the financial world has undergone a revolution. Technological, social and regulatory developments are changing the financial world as we know it, from top to bottom. The introduction of new technologies led to the development of new products, services and financing methods, such as: digital currencies, AI consulting, social commerce, crowdfunding and more. The purpose of the finance and capital market specialization curriculum is to expose the student to the technological developments in the financial world, to familiarize him/her with the new products and services, the principles of their operation and the technology behind them. Such knowledge will enable the program graduate to integrate and succeed in this developing world.
The curriculum is built and is constantly updated according to current and future market demands and needs. The program’s internship is designed to provide students with knowledge in the fields of financial management and the capital market, with an emphasis on combining the acquisition of the theoretical background with the practical tools allowing the theory to be applied. The goal is to train the students for professional activity in the field of finance in the various sectors that comprise today’s economy. The knowledge and skills acquired as part of the internship allow graduates to integrate into a series of positions in the fields of the capital market and financial management, including positions in investment companies, the banking system, the Ministry of Finance and consulting companies. Graduates of the internship will be able to integrate as finance professionals in leading companies in all sectors of the economy, both traditional and innovative.
Those who complete the internship receive an additional certificate in addition to their degree certificate.

My Approach
Prof. Shmuel Hauser Program Director
The Specialization will give graduates the skills required to serve as managers in the various fields of finance, including: investment management, trading in the stock market and other investment avenues, financial management of companies and the integration of financial technology in management in the modern era in Israel and around the world. Students will be exposed to the ways in which individuals, business entities and other organizations allocate their funding sources over time and will learn about the decision-making process under conditions of uncertainty. The range of courses includes the field of financial management in all of its aspects, the capital market in Israel, investment theory, trading floor management (real portfolio management), pension planning, bond pricing, options and futures, banking management, credit risk management. The courses are given by renowned and experienced lecturers, experts from Israel and the world.

The Specialization allows an option for a secondary internship (in an additional trimester) in the field of financial technology (fintech), for those who wish to specialize in this important field, which is at the center of activity in the capital markets in Israel and around the world.
