Attila Somfalvi is an Israeli journalist, who serves as a reporter and political commentator on the Ynet news site. In addition, Somfalvi presents the TV program “The Main Game” on the Knesset channel. Somfalvi was born in Transylvania, Romania and immigrated to Israel in 1990. In 1998, he enlisted in the IDF and served in the weekly “Bamhaneh” newspaper, in a variety of positions, including a reporter in Lebanon, a military reporter and editor of the weekly’s news pages. In September 2001, he began working as a Ynet reporter for police affairs in Tel Aviv, and for several months he presented a spot on Channel 1 on matters of manners. He was later appointed Ynet’s political party correspondent. In 2008, he was selected by Time Out Tel Aviv magazine as one of the 30 most successful people in Israel under the age of 30. In 2019, Somfalvi received a commendation from the World Center for Allies, which is awarded annually to journalists for excellence in a Diaspora Jewish review.
