Israeli Cybersecurity Giant Check Point Cooperates with Ono for Master’s Degree program

Channel 12 news reports that the Israeli cybersecurity giant Check Point Software Technologies has signed a new cooperation agreement with Ono Academic College to offer courses in a Master’s Degree program including guest lectures by company experts alongside access to its learning environment: “We are committed to investing in local human capital.”

Check Point will deliver professional training courses as part of the curriculum at Ono Academic College. For the first time, Check Point’s courses will be offered as full, credit-bearing courses within a master’s degree program in Israel.

According to the agreement, two courses from the cybersecurity giant will be integrated into the MBA program in Business Administration, specializing in Cybersecurity & AI Security (IR-Forensics). They will be provided at no additional cost to the students beyond tuition and will include study within the company’s learning environment, access to a dedicated lab to be established at the college, and guest lectures from Check Point experts. The partnership was also facilitated in part by Gideon Leizer from Check Point, a graduate of the MBA-CYBER program and a lecturer in information systems at the college.

Hadas Ben-Avraham, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Director of the Cyber specialization at the college, said:
“The integration of leading industry training within an academic framework gives our students a real advantage in the job market—they graduate with a master’s degree, practical hands-on knowledge, and a clear path to global certification.”

Sharon Shosheim, VP of Customer Success at Check Point, added:
“At Check Point, we see strengthening ties with academia as a central pillar in developing the next generation of cybersecurity experts. The SecureAcademy program is designed to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical experience, enabling students to become familiar with the tools, challenges, and technologies at the core of today’s cybersecurity landscape. We are pleased to expand our collaborations in Israel and to partner with Ono Academic College—an institution that combines academic excellence with a deep understanding of industry needs. This collaboration reflects our commitment to investing in local human capital and training the next generation of cybersecurity professionals who will continue to lead the field forward.” The complete article in Hebrew can be found at: https://www.mako.co.il/news-business/hi_tech/Article-41d320dda47fd91026.htm
