Rabbi Moshe Reiss Appointed to Lead Ono’s Hareidi Combat Hesder Program

Ono Academic College congratulates Rabbi Moshe Reiss on his appointment as Dean of Students of the academic Haredi combat hesder yeshiva Meshech Chochma.

Back in 2005, with vision and deep conviction, Rabbi Reiss laid the foundation for the Religious Zionist Administration at Ono Academic College. For over two decades, he built a true home—an anchor for thousands of young men and women seeking to combine academic excellence with meaningful religious life and a values-driven community.

Rabbi Reiss created something rare: an environment of personal guidance, inspiration, and belonging. Today, Ono alumni serving in key roles across law, economics, education, and public life stand as a living testament to the vision he shaped and the path he paved.

Now, he steps into a new challenge—leading the academic Haredi combat hesder program Meshech Chochma, preparing Haredi young men for meaningful combat service in the IDF’s Hasmonean Brigade, alongside earning an academic degree at Ono’s the Haredi campus.

We’re confident that, just as he did here, Rabbi Reiss will continue to build, empower, and inspire.
