Kiryat Ono Campus Book Launch “The Light at the Edge”: From Injury to Repair after October 7th

Ono Academic College will hold an inspiring and thoughtful launch event for the book The Light at the Edge: From Injury and Consolation to Repair, by Prof. Tova Hartman and Yehuda Shochat, at its Kiryat Ono Campus, on Thursday January 22, 2026 at 18:30 in the Shulich Auditorium.

The evening will explore the human and social journey from rupture to hope, and the possibility of finding meaning, responsibility, and repair in the aftermath of pain and trauma, especially after the events of October 7, 2023.

The program includes:

• Tova Hartman, Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences
• Maya Lahat-Kerman, Director of Nonfiction, Kinneret-Zmora Publishing
• Elhanan Danino, father of the late Uri Danino, who was killed on October 7
• Aliza Bloch, former mayor of Beit Shemesh
• Brigadier General (res.) Hasson Hasson, former military secretary to Shimon Peres and Reuven Rivlin, covert operative and warrior in special units.
