An evening of music from musicals by renowned composer Andrew Lloyd Webber will be held at 20:30 on 13 June 2013, in Auditorium 1 of Ono Academic College

The School of Music at Ono Academic College is proud to present a festive evening saluting the renowned and beloved composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. During the evening, the students will perform his best songs from Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and others.

The show is the concluding production of Song Performance Course offered by the School of Music, which teaches singers how to work on stage with an emphasis on movement, acting and working with the audience. During the show, eight talented singers who are studying in undergraduate multidisciplinary music and music industry programs  will perform solos, vocal ensembles and dances from musicals written by the Webber.

“We choose the works of renowned composer Andrew Lloyd Webber,” explained Yehuda Cohen, Director of the School, “to pay tribute to one of the world’s greatest composers of musicals who has won numerous awards including the Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, three Grammy Awards and seven Tonys.”

The singers will be accompanied by musicians including teachers and students.
