Dr. Miriam Dishon Berkowitz told the magazine “Galileo” about a study showing that success in high school mathematics is indicative of success in the work world. "Knowledge and understanding of mathematics are undoubtedly necessary for success in school and, to a no small extent, for economic success in the modern world. Indeed, the findings of studies in recent years indicate that high school students’ achievements in mathematics are predictive of success in several areas, including bachelor’s degree completion, level of the first salary when first entering the job market and the rate of salary increases.”
