Israeli and foreign experts participated in the Sixth Annual Conference of the Research Institute for Health and Medical Professions conference on June 20, 2012. Speakers included Prof. Karen Jacobs of Boston University who is also on the faculty of the Department of Occupational Therapy in the OAC Faculty of Health Professions , Prof. Elliot Saltzman of Boston University, Dr. Naomi Siegel of Hadassah Medical Center and Ono Academic College, Dr. Dana Pereg of the Interdisciplinary Center, Professor Amitai Ziv and Dr. Isaac (Tzaki) Ziv-Ner of Chaim Sheba Medical Center, Dr. Yael Kaufman of Tel Aviv University, and Dana Halevy, Katz and Avital Harrison, who were among the first graduates of Department of Communication Disorders at Ono Academic College.

 

The conference featured a variety of research topics including marketing, professional identity, the contribution that health professions make to the health system, music medicine, motor tasks and hearing, and the health consequences of using tablet devices by students in middle school and university.
