Dr. Orit Shenkar

About

Dr. Orit Shenkar is an Occupational Therapist and ergonomic consultant. She has Clinical experience in orthopedic rehabilitation and hand rehabilitation and rehabilitation after amputations and fitting prostheses, as well as ergonomic consultation in a variety of study and work environments. Dr. Shenkar is formerly a faculty member at the School of Occupational Therapy in the Faculty of Medicine of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and later a partner in the establishment of the Faculty of Health Professions at the Ono Academic Campus. She currently serves as a faculty member there. In this context, she takes an active part in teaching, research, group facilitation, admissions committees, facilitating simulations and presentations at scientific conferences in Israel and abroad.

Teaching Areas

Ergonomics, academic literacy: analysis of a scientific paper and academic writing, facilitation of a research seminar, facilitation of groups based on the problem based learning (PBL) method, facilitation of instructional groups engaged in the development of professional identity during clinical training.
