You will experience recording studio session playing, study the art of instrumental accompaniment and Jazz improvisation, attend various instrumental workshops, and delve into the fundamentals of orchestration, while at the same time experimenting with music software to maximize your potential on the path to becoming a highly-skilled, professional instrumentalist.
The program will introduce you to an extensive range of musical styles, while focusing on your own stylistic inclination and constantly expanding your personal repertoire.
Upon completion, graduates will possess a diversified and professional career portfolio, and benefit from a host of opportunities for professional development.
Every student will be required to perform a 30-minute recital at the end of the third year, and a final 50-minute concert at the end of the fourth year.
The program will also provide the entrepreneurial and business management skills required of most performing instrumentalists, in Israel and worldwide.
The Instrumental Performance specialty program is intended for instrumentalists aspiring to master their instruments and develop high performance skills, as both ensemble players and soloists.
The program offers instruction for an extensive range of instruments, including piano, guitar, bass, brass and wind instruments, strings, drums and percussion.
Along with one-on-one instruction on the instrument over the course of three years, you will take all of the core courses including music theory, harmony, ear training, music history, composing, arranging, et al.
In the context of this specialty program, you will play as members of different ensembles in an extensive range of styles (Jazz, Rock, Pop, classical, Latin and stage musical pit band).
