The Ono Academic <\/span>Collage<\/span> Campus works to exercise the rights of people with disabilities as part of its vision to create an inclusive society and as part of its commitment to operate according to the principle of the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities Law — 1998. Accordingly, Ono Academic Campus employees are committed to <\/span>provide<\/span> egalitarian <\/span>services which ensures the dignity, independence and safety of visitors, students<\/span> and employees with disabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Campuses Accessibility\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n

Ono Academic Collage has the following four campuses: Ono Campus, Or Yehuda Campus, Jerusalem Campus and Haifa Campus. All campuses are currently undergoing comprehensive accessibility <\/span>modifications\u00a0 to meet the <\/span>requirements of the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities regulations (accessibility of public places which are institutions of higher education and providers of higher education services), 2016, as well as in accordance with the needs that arise from students, employees and visitors. The following is <\/span>a description of accommodations that have been implemented on the different campuses.<\/span><\/p>\n

Campus-wide accessibility accommodations \u2013 <\/i><\/b>All campuses have guiding and identifying signage that assists people with spatial orientation disability . Likewise, the Ono, Haifa, and Jerusalem campuses have installed vocal signage and a vocal guidance system. At the Ono and Jerusalem campuses \u2013 Step-hear system, and at the Haifa campus \u2013 Right-hear system.<\/span><\/p>\n

Accessibility accommodations in study halls \u2013 <\/i><\/b>Due to existing engineering restrictions in some of the study halls in the Ono Academic Campus buildings, some of which are movable structures that were built in the 1960s, <\/span>arrangements are made in advance to place students with disabilities in accessible classrooms. <\/span>Additional accessibility accommodations in the classrooms include acoustic classrooms equipped with environmental hearing aid systems, accessible desks for students using wheelchairs, as well as<\/span> an accessible chair that could be provided temporarily by request to the Support and Accessibility Center).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Accessibility accommodations in the library \u2013 <\/i><\/b>The Ono Academic Collage Campus libraries are equipped with various accessibility accommodations. These include a closed-circuit TV set, electronic texts, noise-cancelling headphones, read-aloud and magnification software, accessible copy machine and printer, hearing loop system at the service station, accessible tables and accessible chairs<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Accessibility accommodations in the administrative units \u2013 <\/i><\/b>The administrative units of the Ono Academic Collage Campus (student, registration, tuition offices, etc.) are equipped with hearing loop systems at the service stations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Accessibility accommodations in parking \u2013 <\/i><\/b>All the parking lots of the Ono Academic Collage Campus have accessible parking spaces, even though the parking lots are not under the academic institution’s jurisdiction.<\/span> If accessible parking is needed, one can contact the Support and Accessibility Center and we will do our best to assist.<\/span><\/p>\n
