In an article published in The Israel Post on “What can be done to integrate ultra-Orthodox ‎Jews (Haredim) into the Israeli labor market, included an interview with Prof. Yaron Zelekha. ‎Professor Zelekha spoke about the challenges facing the ultra-Orthodox students during their ‎college years and how they cope. On the other hand he said, “The potential skills of the ultra-‎Orthodox students, both the men and especially the women, is tremendous.” He revealed, “When ‎it comes to the external examinations of the Auditors’ Council, the ultra-Orthodox students ‎have a pas rate of 95-100%, compared the national average of 50%.” Zelekha also addressed ‎the question of funding education for these students and said that Ono Academic College ‎gives a large number of scholarships for students studying at the ultra-Orthodox campus, even though it is ‎a private organization. “I believe that if we had more financial resources and could give more ‎scholarships, we could double, triple and even quadruple the number of students who then go ‎to work.”‎<\/p>\n
