Inspired by founder Marty Hershkowitz, the project draws parallels between the largely unspoken trauma of Ethiopian Aliyah—during which some 4,000 perished—and the silenced trauma of Holocaust survivors in Israel’s early years. Moderated by Dr. Samuel Schwartz, the event highlighted the role of art, poetry, and storytelling in processing intergenerational trauma, drawing on Ono’s leadership in arts therapy. Speakers included Deputy Speaker of the Knesset Rabbi Moshe Solomon, who shared personal memories of his Aliyah, and Rabbi Dr. Sharon Shalom, who reflected on his own journey and the power of memory and creativity in healing. The evening honored the book’s steering committee, celebrated contributing authors across generations, awarded prizes for selected works, and concluded with a call to continue giving voice to stories that have too long remained unheard.

["post-35045","page","type-page","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
