General Ofer Winter (Ret.) to Discuss Leadership and the Iron Swords War<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Brigadier General Ofer Winter (Ret.) spoke at Ono Academic College, sharing his thoughts on important contemporary and ancient issues including, religious values, leadership and military history.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Winter was a prominent figure in the IDF known for his leadership of the Givati Brigade during Operation Protective Edge in 2014, where he framed the conflict in religious terms, drawing both praise and criticism. His distinguished career included roles as commander of the 98th Paratroopers Division and military secretary to the Defense Minister. He was released from IDF service in 2024.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>One of the topics he raised in his discussion at Ono Academic College was the drafting of ultra Orthodox youth into the IDF.
