{"id":31946,"date":"2024-06-09T05:47:47","date_gmt":"2024-06-09T05:47:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ono.ac.il\/eng\/?post_type=news&#038;p=31946"},"modified":"2024-06-09T05:49:39","modified_gmt":"2024-06-09T05:49:39","slug":"ono-hosts-hackathon-sponsored-by-unit-8200-alumni-organizaton","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.ono.ac.il\/eng\/news\/ono-hosts-hackathon-sponsored-by-unit-8200-alumni-organizaton\/","title":{"rendered":"Ono Hosts \u201cHackathon\u201d Sponsored by Unit 8200 Alumni Organizaton"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\">\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\r\n<h3><strong>Ono Hosts \u201cHackathon\u201d Sponsored by Unit 8200 Alumni Organizaton<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Ono Academic College held the final event of the Acharaytech Hackathon at its new Kiryat Ono campus.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u201cAcharaytech\u201d is a program for technological education for students in Israel\u2019s periphery run by the \u201cAcharay!\/After Me\u201d organization and the Unit 8200 (the IDF\u2019s Intelligence Directorate) Alumni Association. Youth (9th-12th grades) from all over the country (Nahariya to Eilat) took part in the event, together with staff members and about 70 mentors from the high-tech industry. The event was designed to facilitate the development of technological projects in the fields designated by the organziations\u2019 \u201cImpact\u201d program, which aims to accelerate ventures tackling social or environmental challenges through advanced technology.\u00a0 The Hackathon, conducted in the spirit of the &#8216;Iron Swords&#8217; war, focused on projects in the following categories: solidarity, education and welfare.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The format of this year\u2019s hackathon was slightly different than that of previous years.
