After completing her law degree and working for ten years as an attorney, Dr. Maimon-Blau returned to academia and wrote her thesis on the struggle of patients who were injured due to receiving radiation treatment for ringworm. Her dissertation examined the more general factors that influenced the courts\u2019 compensation awards for class action bodily injury suits in Israel. She found that factors such as the victims\u2019 group identity and their social power have a strong effect on the size of the compensation they receive.<br \/>Dr. Maimon-Blau\u2019s research has been widely acclaimed and she was selected as one of the most inspiring doctoral students at Tel Aviv University in the year 2017-2018.
