Ono Academic College recently completed the first cycle of its new program \u201cTaking your first steps in Academia.\u201d\u00a0 This program enabled 33 boys and girls from boarding schools in the Jerusalem area to get their first exposure to higher education.<\/p>\n
In the framework of the program, the participants took an academic course in criminal law with faculty member Prof. Gabi Halevi and received tutoring from Attorney Limor Zaken. At the end of the course the students passed a final examination and took part in a very exciting mock trial.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The program\u2019s certificate awarding ceremony will be held at Israel\u2019s Supreme Court with the participation of Chief Justice Esther Hayot.<\/p>\n
The students noted that they learned a lot and enjoyed their experience. The second cycle of the program is slated to begin in the Spring 2020 semester.<\/p>\n
