Rabbi Dr. Sharon Shalom, the founding director of Ono Academic College\u2019s International Center for the Study of Ethiopian Jewry, was recently on a tour of the United States, where he participated in a number of events and lectures. He also had the opportunity to speak by zoom with Rabbi Michael Beals, a Conservative Rabbi from the State of Delaware, who has the reputation of being the Jewish religious figure most frequently consulted by United State\u2018s President Joe Biden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The discussion between Beals and Shalom was fruitful and they covered many fascinating topics including: Rabbi Shalom\u2019s childhood in Ethiopia, Rabbi Beal\u2019s recollections about the Yom Kippur War, efforts to bring Ethiopian Jews to Israel, and the role of Diaspora Jews in Israeli
