For the first time an Israeli delegation participated in a seminar at the Information Society Project (ISP) at the Yale University Law School, which has been the top-ranked US law school for decades. The law students and graduates from Ono Academic College received a warm welcome and took an active part in the discussions, with the goal of raising awareness of publicly accessible information in Israel. During the seminar the students met world-renowned experts including Professor Jack Balkin, one of the most prominent scholars specializing in freedom of speech and information, and founder of the ISP project at Yale Law.
After the seminar at Yale, the students continued to Fordham University Law School in New York for another week of intensive study. The delegation which consisted of seventeen students was organized by the Ono Comparative Legal Research Center headed by Dr. Shlomit Yanisky-Ravid.
