Maestro Yaron Gottfried<\/h3>

Director of Ono Academic College\u2019s School of Music, conductor, pianist and composer, multidisciplinary musician who bridges classical and contemporary music \n<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Yaron Gottfried, the Director of Ono\u2019s music School, is the recipient of the 2014 Prime Minister’s Prize for Composers. His works are published by the prestigious international sheet music publishing house SIKORSKI and are performed by orchestras at festivals in Israel and around the world. Gottfried served as the musical director and chief conductor of the Netanya – Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra in 2002-2013 and in this capacity presented a unique artistic approach, combining various musical and artistic styles.<\/p>

Gottfried graduated from the prestigious Jerusalem Academy of Music. He studied composition with Prof. Noam Sharif and conducting with Prof. Mandy Roden. Gottfried often performs with the best orchestras in Israel and the world, including the Israel Philharmonic, the Rishon Lezion Symphony, the Haifa Symphony, the Jerusalem Symphony, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Beer Sheva Sinfonietta, the Camerata Orchestra and more. Internationally, Gottfried performs alongside leading orchestras in Germany, Spain, Estonia, Argentina, the United States, Hungary and has gone on many concert tours in China.<\/p>

Over the years, Gottfried directed and wrote arrangements for many concerts given by leading Israeli artists, together with the Israel Philharmonic. These star performers included Yehoram Gaon, Danny Sanderson, Idan Reichel, Yasmin Levy and more. His piece “La Folia” was selected by the 2023 \u00a0Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition as a required piece for its next session. His remake of Russian Composer Modest Mussorgsky\u2019s “Pictures at an Exhibition” for Jazz and Orchestra Trio was recorded and released as an album by the Nexus company and has been performed dozens of times around the world.<\/p>

As a jazz pianist, Gottfried has performed with many well-known international artists including: Eddie Daniels, Eddie Gomez, Didier Lockwood, Dave Liebman, Ira Sullivan, Billy Hart, Georgie Feim, Randy Barker, Jeff Berlin and many others.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Rafi Kadishzon is a pianist, conductor and composer.\u00a0 His works and arrangements have been performed by orchestras by world-famous conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Gary Bertini and others. Kadishzon won the Film Composer Award for the music he composed for classic films like \u201cFantasy on a Romantic Theme\u201d and \u201cLate Summer Blues\u201d. He also won the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers in Israel (AKUM) Prize for Theater Music and the Prime Minister’s Prize for Composers. \u00a0Kadishzon regularly conducts leading orchestras in Israel and abroad. Kima has a doctorate from the University of Florida in the field of classical composition. In his musical works, Kima explores the aesthetic principles of classical Arabic music. Zakh is a musician, instrumentalist, arranger and producer who has created numerous successful albums and songs (for artists such as Miri Mesika, Aya Korem, Danny Robas, Roni Dalumi). Segal is a graduate of the Berklee College Of Music in Boston and has worked as one of the leading recording and sound technicians in Israel for many years. Adina Feldman hails from New York — the heart of the music industry. Adina has performed in numerous musical theater productions as a vocalist, dancer, and actress (most often as a principal), special events, on television and radio (including voiceovers) and at high profile venues. She has been called on to perform for prestigious State events, including performing the \u201cStar Spangled Banner\u201d for former US President Barack Obama during his visit to Israel. She has produced three of her own critically acclaimed shows: A Tribute to New York, Coming Home, and Collage of a Woman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Adina Chairs the Vocal Performance Major at Ono Music Academic College, where she also teaches advanced courses in song presentation and movement for the stage and directs and choreographs the acclaimed Musicals Ensemble. She has served on the faculty of Hebrew University and the Rubin Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem and has worked for many years as the choreographer of Beit Hillel Theater Workshop and as the Musical Director and Songwriter for the acclaimed show \u201cMikva the Musical\u201d which has performed in Israel and toured in the USA. She serves as a vocal coach to many private students, conducts workshops and teaching residency courses, and continues to hold key positions for a myriad of theatre productions. For the past couple of years she has been a guest lecturer at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Adina’s three albums (Here You Are, Just a Girl, and Songs for Two) reflect the expanse of her diverse vocal and songwriting capabilities in Pop, Country, Jazz\/Cabaret, and Adult Contemporary. Her anthem \u201cJust a Girl\u201d gained worldwide radio attention and \u201cPray for You\u201d became a source of comfort for those missing loved ones who are far from home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Adina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre-Dance and a Master of Arts in Arts in Higher Education from New York University. Over the years, Joca has presented his music at venues and festivals worldwide, and has collaborated in performances and recordings with renowned artists from different countries, like; Nan\u00e1 Vasconcelos, Jo\u00e3o Donato, Jaques Morelenbaum, Armandinho (Brazil); Paquito D\u2019Rivera (Cuba), Edmar Castaneda (Colombia), Vincent Segal (France), Mayra Andrade and The Mendes Brothers (Cape Verde), and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His first solo album Entreventos was released in 2006 by the known Brazilian label Lumiar Discos and his second solo album Manso Balan\u00e7o<\/code> won great reviews by Billboard Brazil magazine, and was elected to the top 10 albums of 2014 by israeli-newspaper Haaretz.
Currently Joca is releasing his third solo album -RIO ALEGRE (Biscoito Fino label) , comprised of original sambas composed by Joca and the legendary Brazilian poet Delcio Carvalho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of the highlights of Joca\u2019s performances includes Virada Cultural S\u00e3o Paulo in Brazil, Aarhus Jazz Festival (Denmark), Red Sea Jazz Festival (Israel) , Jerusalem Sacred Music Festival, Punta del Este Jazz Festival in Uruguay, St. Petersburg International Jazz Festival, Projeto Ponte Cultural in Angola, and ElbJazz Festival in Hamburg as a special guest of the NDR Big Band.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

born in Israel, where, at an early age, he began his musical education studying piano, French horn, and guitar.
In 1974, he was awarded a scholarship by the American-Israeli Cultural Foundation for studies overseas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He studied at the Royal College of Music in London, specializing in conducting, composition, and classical guitar. He completed the conducting course with distinction, winning both the Sir Adrian Boult Conducting Prize and the Sir Theodor Stier Prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this time, he also participated in master classes in conducting led by Maestro Franco Ferrara in Siena, Italy, and Leonard Bernstein in Jerusalem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the summer of 1979, Mr. Salomon won first prize in the conducting competition held by the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. Two weeks later, he also won first prize in the prestigious international conducting competition in Besan\u00e7on, France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This success led to invitations from all the major orchestras in Israel, including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Israel Chamber Orchestra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In France, he conducted orchestras such as Pays de Loire, Philharmonique de Radio France, \u00cele-de-France, Nancy, National de France, Philharmonique de Lorraine, and C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In September 1980, Mr. Salomon received a last-minute call to replace Robert Craft at the famous Berlin Festival. The concert was a great success and led to invitations from orchestras such as RAI of Milan, Palermo Opera, Basque Symphony, S\u00fcdwestf\u00e4lische Philharmonie, Symphony of Asturias, Helsinki Philharmonic, Shetland Symphony, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, BBC, City Sinfonia of London, Northern Sinfonia of England, Chamber Orchestra of Florence, Radio Symphony of Berlin, Stockholm Opera, Brazilian Symphony, Concepci\u00f3n Symphony, Bogot\u00e1 Philharmonic, Symphony of Petrobras in Rio, Camerata Strumentale di Milano, Bamberg Symphony, Berlin Chamber Orchestra, Trondheim Symphony, Stuttgart Opera, Gothenburg Symphony, Orquestra Sinf\u00f4nica Brasileira, Presidential Symphony of Ankara, Milano Classica, New Zealand Symphony, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between 1984 and 1990, Mr. Salomon was Musical Director and Principal Conductor of the G\u00e4vleborg Symphony Orchestra in Sweden.
From 1993 to 1999, he served as Musical Director of the Israel Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Mr. Salomon was the Principal Conductor of the Macedonia Philharmonic Orchestra between 1994\u20131996.
From 1995 to 2003, he was the Principal Conductor and Musical Director of the Vogtland Philharmonie in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With that orchestra, he opened the Spring Festival in Prague (1996) with a highly acclaimed performance of Bruckner\u2019s 3rd Symphony and toured extensively in China and Spain. He also accompanied violin virtuoso Ruggiero Ricci on his German tour for his 80th birthday celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Salomon recorded with the Vogtland Philharmonie all the music for piano and orchestra by Clara Schumann, with pianist Elena Margolina, as well as the Konzertst\u00fcck<\/em> for four horns and orchestra by Robert Schumann, featuring the renowned horn quartet of the Gewandhaus Orchestra from Leipzig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He records regularly for an Austrian label, working with orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic, the Jerusalem Symphony, Vienna Musikverein, Vienna Radio Symphony, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between 2003\u20132005, Mr. Salomon was the Musical Director and Principal Conductor of the Musica Nova Consort.
Between 2003\u20132008, he served as Artistic Director of the Musica Sacra<\/em> Festival in Nazareth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 2005 onward, Mr. Salomon was Musical Director and Principal Conductor of the Israel Sinfonietta \u2013 Beer Sheva, and later served as Principal Guest Conductor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to his classical work, Maestro Salomon is highly dedicated to projects in world music, jazz, and pop. He Studied Composition and conducting and V. Cello at the Rubin academy of music with Prof. Abel Erlich and V. Cello with Zvi Harel. Later he continued his studies of V. Cello with Peter Willy (Beaux Art Trio) and conducting with Michael Chary at The Mannes college of music in New York and completed his doctorate degree from The Julliard School of music.
He was awarded The Israeli music institute award, Yale Chamber music festival fellowship, Aspen Music Festival Scholarship, Albert Szirmai Scholarship, and Henry Mancini Fellowship. His works had been performed In Israel, United States and Europe in concerts held by The Aspen Music Festival Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, The Israeli composers league, Musica Nova, The Tel Aviv chamber Music Society series of concerts 1998-2008, The Tel Aviv International Biennale of contemporary music 2000 and 2002. He was commissioned and performed by performers such as Rivka Golani, Marc Johnson of Vermeer String Quartet, Aviv string Quartet, Aims music festival \u2013Barcelona, Beer Sheva Sinfonietta, Opole Philharmonic, Netanya Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra, Camerata Ensemble Jerusalem, The Jerusalem Symphonie, “Emerant” String Quartet, Contempo music festival, “kfar Bloom” music festival, Tel Aviv soloists ensemble, and others.
Alex Wasserman conducted most of Israel important orchestras. He currently serves as conductor of The Rimon School Choir and as Composition lecturer and also Teaches at the Music department of Ono college of music. Gabay holds a PhD in Music Theory from Tel Aviv University in collaboration with the City University of New York, under the supervision of Carl Schachter. Uri started playing guitar when he was 13 and went on to study Classical Guitar with Haim Asulin and some classes in Composition with Dr. yinam Leef at the Jerusalem Academy of music.

After graduating the Academy Uri decided to go for jazz. He traveled to N.Y.C to study with John Abercrombie and to play with local bands.

Ofer holds an MA degree in Jazz Performance from Queens College NY and has also studied at the New-School NY and attended the prestigious BMI workshop for jazz composers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a saxophone and multi-wind instrumentalist Ofer is an active performer in the jazz and pop scene in Israel and abroad. He has played, amongst others, with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, numerous big bands and small groups, and with leading Israeli singers such as Ilanit,  Yoni Rechter, Dorit Reuveni, Yehoram Gaon, Rona Kenan, Efrat Gosh, Kobi Peretz and others. He has appeared in most major festivals in Israel such as The Red Sea Jazz Festival, The Tel-Aviv Jazz Festival, The Israel Festival, The Piano Festival and others and has played in numerous theater productions as well as with the Broadway production of the musical Chicago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graduate of Beit-Zvi, the Academy of Performing Arts. In 2006\u20132007, with the support of a special grant from Maestro Daniel Barenboim, she studied opera in Berlin and performed the role of Nanetta in Verdi’s Falstaff<\/em> to rave reviews from the German press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2011 she appeared in the title role of Bizet’s Carmen<\/em> with the Haifa Symphony conducted by Noam Sheriff. Throughout her career, she has performed with leading orchestras such as the Westchester Philharmonic of New York, the Berlin Symphony, the Italian Symphony, the Bangkok Symphony, the Israel Philharmonic and the Jerusalem Camerata. She has sung under the baton of renowned conductors including Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Noam Sheriff, Avner Biron, Arie Vardi, Andres Mustonen, Lior Shambadal, Frederic Chaslin, Yaron Gottfried and others. Her performances have taken her from Israel to the United States, Russia, China, Thailand, England, France, Italy, Croatia, Poland, Belgium, Germany, Finland and Estonia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside her stage career, Keren has recorded several albums. In 2006 she released her first CD of songs by Mordechai Zeira with Rafi Kadishson and Dan Ettinger, followed in 2007 by Dark Am I<\/em>, featuring a fantasy on The Song of Songs<\/em> by Ella Milch-Sheriff. In 2010 she collaborated with horn player Alon Reuven and pianist Yoni Farhi on Horn Quest<\/em>, released in Great Britain. In 2013 she recorded her fourth CD with Moshe Zorman and Asaf Roth, In The High Windows<\/em>. In 2017 she released two more albums: Songs of Wine & Love<\/em> by Josef Bardanashvili with the Israel Camerata, and Nigun<\/em> with Daniel Akiva. In 2019 she released DE-GA<\/em> by Tal-Haim Samnon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keren has also appeared on stage in dramatic works. She performed in Hanoch Levin’s Requiem<\/em> and in the opera And the Rat Laughed<\/em> by Ella Milch-Sheriff and Nava Semel at the Cameri Theater. She portrayed Job’s wife in Job<\/em> by Yossi Yzraely alongside Sasson Gabai at the Incubator Theater. At the Tzavta Theatre she played Michal and Batsheva alongside Eli Gorenstein in David in Love<\/em> by Yehoshua Sobol and Ayala Asherov. At the Hebrew Theater she portrayed the daughter of Shoshana Demari in Or<\/em>, and Roni Leibovitch\u2019s wife in the musical Haofnobank<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keren Hadar is the winner of the Schloss Rheinsberg Kammeroper Singing Competition in Germany, and an Israel Cultural Excellence Foundation (ICExcellence) chosen artist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avia came up with her own unique holistic singing method which is called \u201cThe Voice of the Letters\u201d
This method combines body sensation based on sensory phonetics and mindfulness in order to achieve excellent body memory.
Avia runs voice and singing workshops all over the country.
She teaches 4th year Speech Therapy students in Ono Academic College and collaborates with Dr. Yael Manor.
Avia partnered with the Neurology Department, with head of speech therapy Dr\u2019 Manor at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv and has worked with Parkinson’s patients. Avia managed a singing group helping them improve their speech capabilities.
Avia has also established teacher training program where she teaches her method to aspiring voice teachers. She is a member of the Israeli Voice Association.

Dr. Morad holds a Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology and is a researcher of music and culture. He is also an editor and presenter for Kan Tarbut, Kan 88, Kol HaMusica, and Reshet Bet of the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senior Music Director with over 20 years of experience in the music industry. A graduate of IMM Paris in Music Management and Strategy, he currently serves as the Music Director for Channel 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hitman works closely with leading artists in the industry, providing up-to-date career strategies for 2025. Among the artists he has collaborated with are Noa Kirel, Eden Alene, Shir Zohar, Shira Margalit, Roy Sandler, AnnB, and others. Recently, he guided Yuval Raphael to victory in The Next Star<\/em> and toward representing Israel at Eurovision 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previously, he served as Music Director and casting consultant on X Factor Israel<\/em>, was a musical advisor for Israel\u2019s Got Talent<\/em>, and wrote songs for artists including Miri Mesika, Shimon Buskila, and others. Affiliated to NCVS (National Center of Voice and Speech, Utah), currently based in Israel. Author of \u201cLEV – Learn to Evaluate Voice\u201d<\/em> that will soon be released in English, Founder of the Israeli Voice Association (organization for voice professionals from the medical fields and the arts). She is one of the first 14 recognized vocologists worldwide by PAVA (PAVA-RV) and a certified vocologist (National Center for Voice and Speech). She holds diplomas from multiple vocal techniques and is currently working on her MA in voice pedagogy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She developed teacher training programs for some of the organizations she served and developed her own teacher training program that is high in demand \u2013 the LEV course. Aramat has presented at voice events in the US, UK, and Canada (PAVA, Voice Foundation, ViP) and has produced international and local events, online or in-person, for singers and voice professionals. Aramat\u2019s main styles of teaching include CCM and Musical Theater. She is known for her empowering and welcoming approach, while being committed to science, research, and excellence both from her students and from herself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among many collaborations, she established the PAVA chapter in Israel (Pan American Vocology Association). A student of Esther Narkis and Prof. Alexander Volkov; he completed his undergraduate studies under Prof. Eitan Globerson at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He pursued his master’s degree under the guidance of Prof. Michael Boguslavsky at the Jerusalem Academy and continued to earn a Doctorate at Stony Brook University, studying with Gilbert Kalish and chamber music with members of the Emerson Quartet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An active chamber pianist, Slapak\u2019s concert repertoire combines solo piano works with diverse chamber music genres, including art songs, piano four-hands, two-piano works, and pieces from the canon of piano and string chamber literature. Over the years, he has collaborated with prominent artists in Israel and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In parallel with his performance career, he teaches extensively at conservatories and at the university level, focusing on piano and chamber music. He is also deeply engaged in tonal music analysis, particularly Schenkerian analysis and formal theory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salomon studied music at the Rubin Conservatory and has a background in classical music studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous artists, including Shlomo Artzi, Aviv Geffen, Israel Gurion, Riki Gal, Rockfour, Dana Adini, and Daniela Spector. He was the pianist and arranger for the Israeli-British ensemble Blackfield<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Salomon has composed music for theater in Israel and London, as well as for films and television. His second album, Rabot HaDrachim<\/em> (2005), achieved Gold status. He received the “Best Musician” award at the Haifa Children\u2019s Theater Festival and the Golden Feather<\/em> award from ACUM for Best Composer for his first album.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He wrote theme songs for films including The Secrets<\/em>, Someone to Run With<\/em>, Hakapot<\/em>, and Shoshana, the Central Pioneer<\/em>, as well as for television series such as Mother\u2019s Day<\/em>, Friends<\/em>, Ran Quartet<\/em>, and many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2000, Tal began his undergraduate studies in conducting at the Tel Aviv Academy of Music, where he specialized in arranging. Following his studies, he sang in numerous choirs, including the Israeli Opera Choir, the Gary Bertini Israeli Choir, the New Vocal Ensemble, Collegium Tel Aviv<\/em>, the Adi Choir, and many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has arranged and conducted for numerous orchestras in Israel, including the Israeli Chamber Orchestra, Simphonia Ra\u2019anana, Simphonia Be\u2019er Sheva, and the Ramat Hasharon Symphony Orchestra. Shifrin lived for about a year in Vienna, where she specialized in classical singing, and for about two years in New York, where she focused on acting and musical theater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is impossible to describe jazz music in Israel without mentioning his name. He is considered one of the pioneers of jazz in Riga, and after immigrating to Israel, he became one of the leading figures in the field here as well. He received his musical education at the Joseph Stalin Music Academy in the former Soviet Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout his career, he performed extensively with some of Israel\u2019s leading artists, including Yehoram Gaon, Edna Goren, Chava Alberstein, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1971, he joined a band that became one of the pioneering jazz ensembles in Israel. The group, founded at the request of Arik Einstein, was called HaPlatina<\/em>. Ladin studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and the Drummers Collective in New York, where he performed and recorded with jazz, funk, fusion, and reggae ensembles, including collaborations with Dave Liebman and Lou Soloff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Israel, he has performed and recorded with leading artists such as Shlomo Artzi, Yehudit Ravitz, Riki Gal, Yoni Rechter, Berry Sakharof, Danny Sanderson, Lior Narkis, Alon Olearchik, Guri Alfi, and others. He has also played in musicals and theater productions including Mary Lou<\/em>, Walk to the End<\/em>, Brothers in Blood<\/em>, Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/em>, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A graduate of the Tbilisi State Conservatoire in Georgia, where he earned his Master\u2019s degree, Dr. Bardanashvili has held numerous cultural and academic positions throughout his distinguished career. He served as Deputy Minister of Culture in Adjara, Director of the Batumi College of Music, and lectured at both the Tbilisi State Conservatoire and the Batumi College of Music alongside his creative work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shortly after immigrating to Israel, he was appointed Composer-in-Residence with the Ra\u2019anana Symphonette Orchestra and later with the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion. Today, Bardanashvili is a member of the academic faculty at several music institutions across Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the course of his career, he has composed nearly 100 works, including four operas such as Journey to the End of the Millennium<\/em> and The Dybbuk (Between Two Worlds)<\/em>. His music has been performed by leading orchestras in Israel and abroad, and he has also written extensively for film and theater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bardanashvili has received numerous awards both in his native Georgia and in Israel, among them: the Zakaria Paliashvili Prize for Outstanding Musician (Georgia, 1987), the Prime Minister\u2019s Prize for Composers (2000\u20132011), \u201cComposer of the Year\u201d at the Israeli Theater Awards (2002\u20132003), the ACUM Lifetime Achievement Award (2002), and many others.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/article>\n\t\t\t\t

with a rich portfolio of works across diverse genres. His center of activity and creative endeavors has been in the music industry in New York, USA since 2010; since 2023, he has been mainly based in Tel Aviv, Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notable collaborations and commissions in Yoav’s career include a symphonic orchestral piece for cantor and shofar that was performed by the Israel Symphony Orchestra on its China tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yoav served as the music director for New York Fashion Week shows, performed for the Ableton One Thing<\/em> feature series, and was part of the production team for the Ableton Quick Tip Series<\/em> videos. He wrote music and arrangements for institutions such as the Yaakov Agam Museum and collaborated with pioneering American visual artist Lillian F. Schwartz. Additional collaborations include the Raanana Symphonette Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva, the Revolution Orchestra, and the NYU Symphony Orchestra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His compositions have been featured in various festivals and venues around the world, including the Israeli Opera House, CAAFD\/New York Fashion Week, Festival de Cannes (Short Film Corner), the Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival at MASS MoCA, Music With a View Festival, 92Y Tribeca, Skirball Center (NY), as well as Sounds in the Desert and the Jerusalem Theatre, among others. Shemesh has also contributed music to films screened at over 40 festivals worldwide, including the Aniwow-Beijing Festival and the 25th Interfilm International Short Film Festival in Berlin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yoav Shemesh is the recipient of prestigious awards, including the Gertrude Krauss Composition Award, Chana Avni-Yaddor’s Composition Award, the Elmer Bernstein Award in Film Scoring, the Carole Bayer Sager Scholarship in Songwriting, and first prize in the NYU Symphony Orchestra Composition Competition. He also received recognition as the music producer of the 2015 winning album\/band at the KSF Award \u2013 Original Music First Prize Award and The 48 Hour Film Project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yoav Shemesh earned his Bachelor of Arts in Composition from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and his Master\u2019s degree in Composition, Film Scoring, and Multimedia from New York University (NYU).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volinez holds both Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s degrees from the Jerusalem Academy of Music, and is also a graduate of the Mannes School of Music | The New School in New York. He studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, served in the Israeli Air Force Orchestra as an arranger, and later as its conductor and musical director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was the longtime bassist for Shlomo Artzi, and has also performed and collaborated with leading Israeli artists including Danny Sanderson, Gidi Gov, Nurit Galron, Shlomo Gronich, and many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the international stage, Volinez has worked extensively with world-renowned jazz musicians such as Dave Liebman, Danny Gottlieb, Donny McCaslin, John Riley, Howard Johnson, Adam Nussbaum, Swiss arranger George Gruntz, and many more.

Brought up in a family with sephardi musical roots from Gibraltar, he began composing and playing the guitar in his teens, and has been committed to developing his own compositional language ever since, always maintaining an open dialogue with his traditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lazarus is the winner of the 2021 Yitzhak Navon prize given by the president of Israel for outstanding work in the field of music traditions. Lazarus is the musical director and co-founder of the Israeli Ladino Orchestra, Renanot. The orchestra has represented Israel at the UN global cultural forum conference in Fez. Lazarus’s symphonic works where premiered by the Israeli Andalucian Orchestra, Ashdod and the Ra’anana Symphony Orchestra, and his chamber works by various performers world wide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ariel has been invited to perform in Morocoo, Portugal, Spain, Germany, the USA, France, Luxembourg, Hungary, Gibraltar, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Israel. Lazarus’s recordings where released by the European botique label “Smoothfactor” and has gained critical acclaim by various News Papers, TV and Radio shows (Haaretz, IBA, KAN Tarbut, 88 FM, Neue Westfalishe etc).Lazarus’s work is published by Or-Tav and IMI, Tel Aviv. Lazarus has earned his Ph.D. at the Bar Ilan University, studying composition with Prof. Betty Olivero and Prof. Gideon Lewensohn and conducted research under the supervision of Prof. Edwin Seroussi from the Hebrew University. His PhD thesis touched upon the rare repertouir of the spanish & portuguese dirges (Kinot).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lazarus has received B.Mus. and M.Mus. diplomas in classical guitar performance and composition from the Oklahoma City University where he studied with American composer Dr. Edward Knight. Lazarus has received awards from the ACUM composers league and Israel’s Pais art council. Lazarus currently holds positions as music lecturer and ensemble director at the Ono music academy,”Givat Washington” academic college.

A graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music, where he studied guitar with Steve Peskoff and composition with Slava Ganelin, Albalak was awarded numerous prizes and scholarships, including the America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarship, the Jazz Performer Competition, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His wide-ranging and distinctive musical activity spans multiple genres\u2014from jazz, electronic music, psychedelia, and rock, to modern-classical and avant-garde. He is a core member of several acclaimed projects and ensembles, performing in Israel and abroad, including Geshem<\/em>, Apifera<\/em>, Big Vicious<\/em>, and Live Beat Tapes<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the past two decades, Albalak has collaborated with artists across a variety of mediums such as dance, film, animation, television, theater, video art, and video games. He has worked with many of Israel\u2019s leading musicians and ensembles, among them: Matti Caspi, Shalom Hanoch, Shlomo Gronich, Avishai Cohen, Marina Maximilian Blumin, Shai Maestro, Shlomi Shaban, Shuly Rand, Eli Magen, Shlomo Yidov, the Israel Jazz Orchestra, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, The Revolution Orchestra, Buttering Trio, Metropolin, and many more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
