Gabay holds a PhD in Music Theory from Tel Aviv University in collaboration with the City University of New York, under the supervision of Carl Schachter. She teaches musicianship and analysis alongside pianist Murray Perahia in the Outstanding Pianists Program at the Jerusalem Music Centre (Mishkenot Sha’ananim).
In addition, she lectures at Tel Aviv University, where she also serves as Head of the Teacher Certification Program in Music.
