Guitarist, composer, music producer, historian, and cultural researcher. He holds a Ph.D. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, specializing in American history, cultural studies, and popular music. His research focuses on the relationship between popular music, history, and cultural studies.
Katorza has produced singles and albums for artists including Eyal Shechter, Sharon Holzman, and projects featuring Alma Zohar, Efrat Gosh, and many others. He is also the author of numerous books, including Tomorrow Never Knows – Rock in the 20th Century, Pink Floyd – Breaking the Wall, Unknown Noises – Punk, Post-Punk and New Wave, and Stairway to Heaven: Jews, Blacks, and the American Music Revolution.
