Ofer holds an MA degree in Jazz Performance from Queens College NY and has also studied at the New-School NY and attended the prestigious BMI workshop for jazz composers.
As a saxophone and multi-wind instrumentalist Ofer is an active performer in the jazz and pop scene in Israel and abroad. He has played, amongst others, with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, numerous big bands and small groups, and with leading Israeli singers such as Ilanit, Yoni Rechter, Dorit Reuveni, Yehoram Gaon, Rona Kenan, Efrat Gosh, Kobi Peretz and others. He has appeared in most major festivals in Israel such as The Red Sea Jazz Festival, The Tel-Aviv Jazz Festival, The Israel Festival, The Piano Festival and others and has played in numerous theater productions as well as with the Broadway production of the musical Chicago.
Ofer is also a jazz composer/arranger and has released two jazz albums to date, the first under the Israeli JazzIs label (2010) and the second under the NYC based label Gut String Records (2020) which received rave reviews in the jazz community in Israel and abroad.
