CHANGING THE FACE OF ISRAELI SOCIETY
Ono Academic College is a private academic institution, and a registered NGO, offering degrees in Law, Business Administration, Advertising and Marketing Communications, Accounting, Humanities, Health Professions, and Music. Our emphasis on excellence finds expression through our faculty of world-renowned professors and teachers, graduates of leading universities in Israel and abroad.
With more than 14,000 students, Ono is Israel's fastest growing institution of higher education. In addition to fostering true academic success, our unique programming extends into the field of social entrepreneurship, harnessing the power of educational programs to produce leadership that mends social gaps. Integrated into its regular study framework, Ono has initiated a series of programs that promote diversity and inclusion, aiding those who have been deprived of the rights, privileges and personal resources enjoyed by mainstream Israeli society and opening the doors of higher education to all sectors in Israel, including men and women from Ultra-Orthodox, Ethiopian-Israeli and Arab backgrounds and individuals with developmental and learning disabilities.
We believe in the power of educational programs to produce leadership that will mend the social gaps.
- We actively recruit students from the Ethiopian-Israeli community and provide them with substantial scholarships, academic support and employment services.
- We have opened a separate campus for ultra-Orthodox students, providing them with an academic environment that respects their religious beliefs and enables them to acquire an academic degree in a professional field.
- Our Master’s degree in Consulting and Counseling for Educational and Social Organizations allows mid-career educators from across Israel’s religious and social sectors to study together, with instruction by our diverse faculty.
Ono is also leading the way in a number of relevant new fields, including a Master’s degree in Management related to the quality of the environment. Our concern for the quality of health care in Israel and the need for health professionals has lead us to establish degree programs in Occupational Therapy and Communication Therapy. Additionally, our faculty members have initiated research institutes dealing with practical issues that enhance the quality of Israel’s professional expertise.
