MATZPEN MANAGEMENT TRAINING

The Matzpen (“Compass”) Program for Excellence and Applied Management Practice aims enhance the mutual relationship between the academic world and industry. This unique program, now in its fifth year, provides business students at Ono Academic College with the best managerial skills for rapid integration into the business world. This year, unlike previous years, the program  focused on work in the Knesset, in order to allow students to become involved in the parliamentary business of Israel’s Knesset. Third year B.A. students and  second year M.B.A. students are eligible to enroll.

 

Matzpen internships consist of 500 academic hours and are considered the equivalent of the final project and seminar required for the degree. Thus, participating students are exempt from these requirement (except for students of accounting).

Eligibility for the program is determined by the following criteria:

 

1.       Applications are accepted via the internet and must include:

a.       Short resume.

b.       Choice of company

c.       Choice of specialization in project.

2.       Applicants must have at least an 80 grade point average.

3.       Agreement to the terms of the Matzpen program.

4.       Personal interview with Matzpen and company representative.

 

Students completing Matzpen will be given academic credit equal to one project + one seminar + one academic course.  BA students who successfully complete Matzpen will be awarded a NIS 2,000 scholarship.
